The homemade snow cone syrup recipes are very simple to make and a great addition to hot summer days. Basics of making the snow cone syrup are going to be the very same, no matter what flavor you want to prepare.
Snow cones are very important in our home once the summer starts. Snow cones are a great summer treat and most of us love making them so much! Once I got how to make my own snow cone syrup… it was an amazing game changer!
What I like most about this snow cone syrup recipe is that it contains ingredients that are already in our cupboards. You can make this with ease when it feels like enjoying a great treat to overcome the summer heat.
Ingredients Needed for Snow Cone Syrup:
- One cup water
- One cup granulated sugar
- One pack of kool-aid, the flavor of choice
Step 1:
Put all the ingredients in a saucepan, mash the fruit when the mixture is hot. The fruit can be frozen, but be sure to mash it when heats to leave a taste and color!
Step 2:
Boil all ingredients until the mixture thickens and the syrup is ready. Although not too thick, you don’t make jam. But just the better syrup consistency (consider maple syrup). If it gets too thick, you can add water!
Step 3:
Strain & cool it! Store in the freezer for up to one year.
